Getting to Maynooth from the Airport.

NUI Maynooth

Getting from Dublin city centre to NUI Maynooth:

Getting the train to Maynooth is very straightforward.  There is a regular service from Dublin Connolly station directly to Maynooth (can also get a less frequent service from Dublin Pearse Street).  Journey time is around 45 minutes.  A timetable can be downloaded from the Irish Rail website (http://www.irishrail.ie/).  Maynooth is located on the Dublin-Longford-Sligo train route.  Most services terminate at Maynooth but some do go on further, so do keep an eye on which type of service you are traveling upon.

Getting to NUI Maynooth from Maynooth train station:

As you exit the small train station you will see a bridge to your left taking you over the canal.  Go over the bridge and follow the road into Maynooth town centre.  As a landmark you will see the Roost pub on your right as you walk down the road.  You will reach a set of traffic lights.  Turn left and ahead of you is the entrance into NUIM south campus.  As you enter the campus you will see two archways allowing access through the main building.  Proceed through either archway and towards St. Patrick's where registration will take place. See the south campus map for the location.

Getting to NUI Maynooth by car from within Ireland:

The key is getting onto the N4 (M4).  There is a major junction on the M50 (Dublin’s equivalent to the M25) where the N4 to Sligo/Galway/Westport should be taken.  Keep on this road until you reach the Maynooth turn off (if all clear only about 10-15 mins from the junction).  Follow the signs into Maynooth town centre.  You will reach a T-junction with traffic lights.  Turn left, then go straight at the next set of traffic lights and this will lead you into the entrance of the south campus.  Car park is signposted on your left and there should be no problem finding a space.  Proceed to Accommodation Office or through either archway and towards St. Patrick's where registration will take place.

For people driving from the west, take Maynooth turn off from the M4 and then as above.
